Getting you on track to a healthier life

If you would like to improve your Health and Wellbeing or your Emotional Wellbeing our team of Wellbeing Coaches and Emotional Wellbeing Coaches can work with you to make changes that could make a real impact, however big or small. With support from one of our friendly Wellbeing Coaches, there’ll be no looking back.

Wellbeing Coaches have a wealth of training and expertise to guide and support you to improve your health and emotional wellbeing. You will work in partnership with your Wellbeing Coach and develop a plan that is tailored to your individual health goals. 

How you can get help from a Wellbeing Coach

With this service you’ll be assigned your own Wellbeing Coach who will support you create a personal health plan to achieve your desired health goal to improve your health and wellbeing. They will offer you support and understanding every step of the way.

Your Wellbeing Coach will find out what changes you could make, however big or small, to improve your health and put together a tailored plan just for you. They can help with many elements of health, such as healthy eating, stopping smoking, physical activity, weight loss (although please be aware this is not a specialist weight management service), and/or reduction in alcohol consumption. Goals are lead and created by you, with guidance from your coach. After each session these goals are reviewed and adjusted according to how they went. These sessions are all about empowering you to take charge of your own healthy lifestyle.

How you can get help from an Emotional Wellbeing Coach

Our Emotional Wellbeing Coach service is there to support those experiencing poor emotional wellbeing to create a personal health plan to improve your emotional health and wellbeing. Like the above, this plan is all set around health related goals. You will be assigned your own Emotional Wellbeing Coach who will support you to live independently in your own homes, engage with health improvement opportunities, and to engage with the local community. Please see exclusions below. Please note: our Emotional Wellbeing Coaches are not trained in mental health, if you’re struggling with your mental health please seek support through alternative services before you access this service.

This service is recommended for people over 18 years who are experiencing poor emotional and mental wellbeing. Please note it excludes:
• People with an organic or serious mental illness
• People who require a home care or personal care service – there are more suitable services locally if one of the above apply to you.

What we offer:

  • 6 1:1 sessions spread over a period of time to suit you (weekly or monthly meetings)
  • 60 minute initial assessment
  • 30 minute sessions thereafter
  • A choice of virtual and face to face appointments
  • Follow ups at 6 and 12 months to encourage sustained behaviour change.

Who can get sign up to the service?

  • Anyone aged 16+ years for the Wellbeing Coach Service
  • Anyone 18+ years for the Emotional Wellbeing Service
  • Anyone who lives or works in B&NES or registered with a GP in B&NES
